Government jobs are referred to as Public sector companies jobs, State government jobs, Banking sector jobs and Central government jobs. Government jobs are considered to be the one of the brilliant job option for mainly the Indian candidates.There are a number of jobs under government sectors among which are at reputed and respected posts while other are at small sectors. The government jobs conducts an entrance exam to recruit candidates for different posts and to appear for that entrance exam. Now Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) for Central Government jobs for the year 2014.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination and selects candidates for vacancies in central government departments including ministries and Research fields. Eligible Candidates can apply for this SSC CGL Exam for the year 2014.
Written Exams: SSC CGL Written Exam will be conducted in 2 level (Tiers). (Tier I date: April 27, May 4) and (Tier II date: August 30, 31).
Job Details:
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) - Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam is being held for group B and C Grade posts.
Grade B Posts: Assistants (in Ministry of Railway, External affairs, Intelligence bureau, Central Vigilance Commission, Central Secretariat Service,Dept of revenue,Enforcement directorate), Inspector (Income tax, Excise dept. & Central bureau of narcotics), Sub inspectors at CBI, Divisional accountant at offices under CAG, Statistical investigator.
Grade C Posts: Auditor, Accountant, Upper division clerk, Tax assistant, Compiler.
Eligibility Details:
1. Should be a Graduate from recognized university
2. Age limit: 18-27 Years (Age Relaxation is for OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PH – 10 years.
Statistical investigator: Age limit: up to 26 years.
Degree in statistics/ maths/ economics/commerce with statistics or related branch as a paper.
Exam Procedure:
Tier I Exam is common for all positions which comprises of four papers,
General intelligence
General awareness
Quantitative aptitude
English comprehension.
Time Duration of test is 2 hours. And each section carries maximum 50 marks totally 200 Marks.
Tier II Exam will have 3 papers. Quantitative abilities, English language and Statistics. Each section carrying 200 marks.
Application Fee: The application Fee is Rs.100 (All women and SC/ST/PH/Ex SM applicants are exempted) which can be paid through any SBI branch. Then They can pay offline also.
